Ao
longo dos anos fiz imensos convites de casamento com os meus
personagens cabeçudos, a pedido das respectivas noivas. São sempre
trabalhos desafiantes e giros e ficam sempre diferentes. Fiz tantos
convites desse género que quando pensei em desenhar o meu próprio
convite fiquei indecisa sobre como o fazer. Num estilo mais realista?
Num estilo mais cartoon? Com pessoas? Com bichos?
"Em casa de ferreiro, espeto de pau" is a portuguese saying that would translate more or less like "at the the blacksmith's house, the skewer is made of wood" but is has the same sense as "Who is worse shod than the shoemaker's wife?".
I made so many wedding invitations for other brides, than when I finally got to design mine, it made me terribly undecised... should I make a realistic version? Or cartoon? With people? With animals?

Pegando na ideia original do desenho que marcou o início do nosso namoro, pensei em voltar ao cão e à gata, mas continuo bastante indecisa em relação a cores, formas e atitude.
Recalling the original drawing that marked the beggining of our relationship, I felt like it would be nice to go back to that dog and cat. But I'm still undecised about colors, shapes and attitude.
Mas há uma coisa sobre a qual eu já tenho uma certeza: Que gosto dos véus curtos, também chamados voilette ou Birdcage veil! Andava doida para saber quanto custava uma coisa destas e se poderia usar uma. Procurei nalgumas lojas de noivas mas era um pouco difícil de encontrar e caro também... mas depois encontrei o tule com o qual estas coisas são feitas!! É branco e tem uma malha larga mesmo fixe! Vamos lá ver o que consigo fazer com isto :)
But there is one thing I know for sure: That I love the super short veils, also known as voilette or Birdcage veil! I've been crazy to know how much would this cost and if I could have one. I looked in some bridal boutiques but they were quite expensive and then... I found the french netting I need to make my own!! Its white and amazing! Let's see what I can make out of it :)
P.S. - Peço desculpa se isto nos próximos meses se tornar um blog-de-noiva, mas é uma daquelas coisas que só me vão aturar uma vez... vá, coragem.
